To gather data for this study, a survey was conducted among 81 respondents aged 19-30 years old in Surabaya and Jakarta. The survey questionnaire was distributed online, ensuring a diverse representation of the target population. The respondents’ gender distribution was 53.09% male and 46.91% female, while their average income ranged from 5-50 million IDR.

Our study revealed that millennials heavily rely on online platforms for their shopping needs. Among the various options available, Shopee emerged as the most widely used platform, capturing a substantial market share of 82.67%. Tokopedia, another popular platform, closely followed with a significant user base of 70.67%.
With a staggering market share of 82.67%, Shopee has firmly established itself as the preferred online shopping destination for millennials. The platform’s user-friendly interface, extensive product variety, and attractive promotional offers have struck a chord with this demographic. Its seamless mobile app experience further enhances convenience and accessibility, aligning perfectly with the fast-paced, on-the-go lifestyle of millennials.
Tokopedia, with a substantial market share of 70.67%, has also earned the trust and loyalty of millennial shoppers. Known for its diverse range of sellers and products, Tokopedia offers millennials a one-stop solution for their shopping needs.
